Parent Perspective
We believe that the interest you show in your child’s education and the support you provide has a positive influence on achievement and on their enjoyment of their studies. We will work closely with parents, carers and multi-agency support organisations to promote the health, safety, well-being and success of all our students.
We will:
- Provide a safe learning environment in which your child can excel
- Ensure that you are kept up to date on activities at the school by means of our website and newsletter
- Give you an opportunity to share your views with us, by means of our parent’s questionnaire
- Provide regular feedback to you on the progress of your child and how they are getting on in all aspects of school life
- Welcome you into the school for an annual parents' consultation meeting at which you will be able to discuss your child’s progress with learning and personal coaches
- Produce an annual written report for parents
- Ensure that you are kept up to date on progression routes available to your child
- Encourage you to get involved in the school, inviting you to events and inviting parents to contribute ideas to enrich the curriculum if they wish to
- Provide a key point of contact should difficulties arise and regularly update our parents information sheet ensuring that the emergency contact information
- Ensure that your child receives additional support where the need is identified
- Publish our key policies by means of our web page and ensure that you are aware of the assessment procedures for your child’s qualifications
- Provide a forum for parents by means of representation on the governing body
